Dear Clients,

I certainly miss seeing you and helping you feel better. I hope you are all well and look forward to scheduling soon. As I prepare to re-open my practice, there are different safety measures that will be put in place. First and foremost, making sure everyone is aware of the symptoms of Covid-19, the risks associated with prolonged personal contact, and the policies to protect everyone.

Covide-19 Symptoms range, but if you are feeling: feverish, chills, loss of taste and smell, dry cough, painful breathing, rash on arms or hips,  or sore throat, please cancel your appointment (at no charge) and follow your doctors medical advice.

The risks associated include: being asymptomatic and spreading or getting the virus, especially when closer than 6 feet, and, the virus has shown itself by producing blood clots, which can be circulated by massage. A blood clot in the heart or brain can be fatal. I do not do highly circulatory massage, however, increase in blood flow is one of the benefits to receiving body work, just be aware of the possible consequences associated when you have Covid-19.

The policies put in place to protect everyone involved are much the same as prior to Covid, besides additional sanitizing, storage of used sheets, disinfecting everything that could possibly be touched by myself or client, additional time between sessions and remaining in your vehicle until phone contact is made. Face masks will be worn by myself and client, who is allowed to removed theirs when they are face down, and I will create additional draping around head rest.

My availability will also be limited, due to child care and schooling. As of now I am only booking at one location and will hopefully open up my second office soon.

Feel free to send me an email, or text, if you have any questions or concerns. I am trying to keep up on the latest information regarding the virus in relation to massage and the safest way to move forward.

Life is a Special Occasion. Live and move optimally.

Blessings,

Mona

Types of Massage Services

(If you don't know which one to choose, it doesn't matter, we can talk about it at the time of your appointment)

Structural Integration

Structural Integration works to realign the body and reset the resting length of short or long muscles, and the techniques used require client interaction through increased communication and movement.

Tuina

Tuina is an Eastern modality as the foundation of Chinese medicine. It involves shaking and vibration of the muscles and movement of the joints, while stimulating the flow of chi through meridians and meridian points. It is a great tool for assessing tension and increasing blood flow. Blood flow can be increased through a technique called Gua Sha, which involves scraping the skin with a Chinese soup spoon. It can raise a "blossom" where there is lack of blood flow due to tension in the surface layer of skin and muscle.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
